　　我们从自己的父母亲和祖父母那儿继承了这个世界。如果不是过去几代人，包括我们当中的老年人的辛勤工作，我们今天所享有的现代社会是完全不可能存在的。老年人努力工作，供养家人、社会以及年轻的后代。他们中有些人曾为我们今天庆祝的自由而战;有些人曾为给后代创造更好的'生活和工作环境而奋斗。作为享受他们劳动成果的后来人，我们理所当然应该尊重他们。
