有一次英语课，陈老师提着小黑板，精神饱满地急匆匆走进教室，脸上一副既负责又严厉的'表情，对我们说：“赶紧拼背单词，一会儿我提问，不会的人要把我们要求背的单词抄写五遍。” 我们赶紧开始哇哇背起来。过了一会儿，老师一拍手，我们就立马坐端正了，老师开始提问了。我心想：老师会不会让我起来背单词呢？我最怕站起来回答问题。心里想着鬼，鬼果然来啦。老师说：“薛子良，起来，把衣服这个单词拼背一下。”我一下子愣住啦，站在座位上看着黑板，半晌想不起这个单词，陈老师说：“薛子良，你抄写五遍吧。”课堂上，我不敢马虎，认真听老师讲课。
嘀铃铃，下课啦，陈老师把我叫到跟前温和地对我说：“子良，你刚才是不是太慌啦，现在把书看一下，再给老师背。”老师和蔼地给我提着每一个单词，我也大胆起来，竟然顺利地全背对啦，我也高兴起来。
这就是我们的英语老师，一个既温和又严厉负责的老师。

就在上周周日，我们海伦教育举办了第四届海伦杯英语大赛，我报了英语，虽然练习不是很难，但我还是要努力复习英语，争取考个好成绩。
开始考试了，我非常紧张，因为我们要听写80个单词和十个句子。一声哨下，考试开始了。老师把卷子发给我们，开始念广播，广播要念30分钟时间，给我们的时间并不多，所以我们要抓紧了，实际我很紧张，心里给自己加着油，我一定要坚持到最后。
念到第75个单词的时候，我不会了，我还没想上五秒钟，老师就开始念下一个单词了，我只能把这个单词放弃了。但下一个单词很少，我们还有15秒写的时间，于是我用多余的时间来把上一个单词补了，考试在一分一秒地进行着，同学们都非常紧张，也非常认真。老师瞪着一双大眼睛，走来走去地盯着我们，台下的我们当然不敢抄袭了。突然，老师说还剩十分钟了，我们都开始检查卷子了，因为这次报名花费了五十元，所以我非常认真地在检查，检查了一遍又一遍，检查出了三个错误。我刚把错误改好，老师突然又说：“同学们，该交卷了。”老师的一句话把我惊呆了，时间过得好快呀！
