我的妈妈虽然表面上看不出她有什么特长，但她可有一肚子墨水哩，妈妈最擅长英语了，她能讲一口流利的英语，我打心眼里佩服妈妈。
妈妈是在酒店工作的，经常会和一些外国人打交道。有一次，我到妈妈酒店参观，正当我参观的`时候，妈妈在和一些外国人交谈，妈妈说得非常流利、发音准确，交谈时，我听他们说得象外星语，特别快，我听得头晕脑胀，可妈妈好象一位真正的老外，他们不停地交谈。忽然，他们交谈停止了，老外向妈妈满意地点了点头，向妈妈说了声“Thank you very much..”然后满意地走了。后来一问妈妈，原来刚才的三位老外在向妈妈询问他们的房间在几楼以及酒店的主要设施、结构，哇！如此难的问题，妈妈竟然对答如流，佩服，真是佩服。
妈妈的英语是靠练出来的，我听爷爷讲，妈妈小时候天一亮就起来读书了，捧着英语书大声朗读，放学回来后，妈妈更是勤奋，不断做英语练习，高声朗读课文，并认认真真做好笔记。翻开她的书一看，上面全部清清楚楚的记满了，让人赏心悦目。
一项困难的语言，只要你认真学，不断读，有坚持不懈的精神，就一定能取得成就。就像妈妈的英语一样，最终取得成就！
