　　Today, my parents took me to my grandfather’s home. I talked with my grandfather for a little while and then I played with my brothers and sisters. After a while, my elderly brother suggested going to the park and having a rest. “That’s a good idea.” I said. Then we prepared for the outing. However, after lunch, the sky turned dark and rained heavily. Therefore, our plan was an impossible due to the bad weather. How pity it was! All the afternoon, we could only have fun in house. We played cards, watched TV and played computer games. We were happy, but we still hoped that we can go out next time.

　　今天，我父母带我到爷爷家。我和爷爷聊了一会天然后我就和兄弟姐妹们玩。过了一会，我的哥哥提议去公园然后休息。“好主意”我说。接着我们就为外出做准备。但是，吃过午饭，天空变得黑暗还下起了大雨。因此，我们的'计划因为坏天气泡汤了。太可惜了!整个下午我们只能在家里玩。我们打牌，看电视，玩游戏。我们和开心，但是还是希望下次能够出去玩。

　　I earnestly hope to lead a healthy and prosperous life in the future. Judging from my aptitude inclination and personality streaks, my ideal life will be that of a scientist, researching, lecturing, and writing books.

　　As I am from a farming family, I particularly enjoy being close to earth. If I can afford to live a pastoral life in the countryside, I will feel most blessed. As far as social life is concerned, simplicity is what I intend to pursue, so I really don't need too many friends. All these will be mere talk if I am idle now. To attain my goal, I must make a point of training my body and mind.

　　i spent thiswinter vacation in quite a different way。 i used to run about every day in previous summer vacations， but thiswinter vacation i simply could not afford to do so。 i would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations。 though those examinations were still a year away， i had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things i had learned at school and thiswinter vacation was the ideal time for me to do this。 at first i was rather dismayed at the thought of this， but later i thought it was better this way because by working hard thiswinter i could count on endless happywinters to e。 with this in mind i then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical。 i was not at all bored by this kind of life， for i was sustained by a hope。

　　My summer vacation of this year was very enjoyable. I went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays. It is very beautiful there. There are green plants, clear rivers, lovely animals and kind people. I spent two weeks helping my grandfather do some farm work there. I wrote down what happened in my diary every day.

　　Besides that, I helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. I helped them read English and improve their spoken English. Their parents thanked me for this.
