　　先是五年级比赛，之后依次往下。轮到我了。站到台上的时候，我的双腿有些发抖，翻开书读时，第一句读错了，我赶紧改进。为了不让自己再读错，我让自己的心冷静下来。双腿也不再抖得那么厉害了。我讲的故事是《爱唱歌的鸟，内容是有一只爱唱歌的鸟，国王把它关进笼子里，给它美味的食物，可它就是不唱。最后国王把它放走了，她又像以前那样唱歌了。现在所有人都很高兴。讲完了，我走下台，回到自己的座位上。有一个女孩跟我的故事一样，她很有感情把它背诵了出来，还做着动作。我是读的，有一点感情，没有做动作。我心想，下次讲故事要背下来，要有感情和动作。

　　开始上课了，我和小弟弟还有小伙伴们坐在小板凳上，认真地听妈妈讲课。妈妈上的课可真生动呀！首先，妈妈帮每个小朋友都取了英文名字。然后，妈妈会玩一些游戏，让我们在游戏中快乐地学习英语单词；再者，妈妈的课堂还有儿歌可以听，这些歌都是耳熟能详的，有的是中文歌改编的，有的`是国外的英文歌，我都特别爱听。最后，妈妈的课堂是轻松的，我们可以自由地发挥想象，气氛非常活跃，但是我们都学进去了。

　　上了妈妈的英语课，我对英语产生了浓厚的兴趣，在学校的英语课堂也表现得更加自信了。
